How do U feel about Assaults on border agents increase at what advocates call an imaginary line where all may enter at will ? The U.S. Border Patrol says agents in the Tucson Sector are seeing an increase in assaults along the border.
Last fiscal year agents were assaulted 261 times; the year before that there were 216 assaults reported. Agent Mike Scioli says the 22 percent increase is a sure sign the smugglers are frustrated by increased manpower, infrastructure and technology.
There are 3,100 agents patrolling Arizona’s 262 linear miles of border with Mexico.
Scioli described some of the attacks, “It starts with a rock and when we talk about rocks they’re about the size of my hands. Other things range from Molotov cocktails to, it’s gross, but honestly, they’ll even throw deceased animals over in bags and then we’re talking about physical assaults out in the desert.”

    For the person on here who stated it was the fault of the border fence I only have one thing to say, Get the facts! Read!
    the border fence is helping in a small way, it is slowing the drugs coming across, and MX has started stepping up to the line to help stop the drugs coming into the US. That’s one reason for the violence at the border. Another reason is they know our Gov will prosecute agents who use force to protect their lives, because they believe the criminal over the agent. And they wonder why the turn over is so high.
    And of course if they are the “victim of a crime” the Gov gives them a work permit and allows the illegal to stay.
    The violence against our Border Patrol is in a way good news. It means the word is getting out “we will stop you”. If these illegals weren’t criminals or didn’t have criminal tendencies would they be so quick to assault? But lets give them a path to citizenship because they are “just looking for a better life, and they aren’t criminals”.
    I’d call assault a crime, which makes them criminals.

    You can blame that on the BORDER FENCE you keep pushing for. This is only fustrating the smugglers even more. So what you are doing by supporting this poorly planned fence is creating more problems for the border agents.http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/19/border.…
    “Criminals are discovering they can no longer operate with impunity in certain areas and are systematically being prevented from using the border for their criminal activities,” Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar said in a news release.

    I have always said, these heroes should be able to use their weapons on sight, no questions asked. If anyone is that close to the border, they are only there to commit some sort of crime. For the boo hoo advocates who say a child can wander off, move away from the border or learn to watch your children. They should be more afraid if living in this area of human smugglers, drug runners etc..

    for some reason criminals in other countrys feel its thier right to take from others its disgusting,then complain when we fight back. well unfortunatley somthing big and really nasty will happen when it all boils up to the top.
    wait so we shouldnt impede criminals? with a fence ,oh no lets frustrate them,thats bad we should just let them break the law and assult our citizens and get away with whatever they want?

    Fight fire with fire. Increase the border patrol, augment with the military. If they assault an officer, take off the kid gloves.
    Make it clear to the world…enter the US legally or not at all.

    As I been saying for last 10 years, torture is the only answer, only thing these burros understand. Hang them by their greasy wankers & nuts, from the border fence…or shoot them in the kneecaps..And having a guy named David-o AGUILAR as a border patrol chief sure does not overwhelm me with confidence that job is done best possible way, as it would if that guys name was something like John Wayne, or Sam Huston, or Davy Crocket. Sure would not hire Miguel Sanchez to protect my property against other “Miguels”, it would be like setting fox to watch the chicken house.
